Our Patron
Dr Stephen Mark Shore, Clinical Assistant Professor in Special Needs, Adelphi University, Pennsylvania, has kindly agreed to stand as our Patron. This is both a mark of respect and pride, to show our respect for him and for him to validate our existence and his confidence in us to 'deliver the goods' to Autistic people of all flavours (which makes us proud!).
Stephen is himself on the spectrum and passed through what he calls the "autism bomb" years ago when he was very young.
He particularly enjoys teaching music to Special Needs children and also travels the world incessantly, (or so it seems!), speaking to organisations everywhere about Autism and Asperger Syndrome and the absolute imperative for Neurotypical people to treat us with respect and tolerance.
We intend to bring Stephen to New Zealand when we have the money, to see what we have achieved, and raise awareness/acceptance in New Zealand for our folk.

Coauthor: "Understanding Autism for Dummies"
Co-featured in: "Living along the Autism Spectrum: What it means to have Autism or Asperger Syndrome" (DVD)
Also co-featured in "Autism All-Stars" (ed. Josie Santomauro).
