Aspiehelp no longer has the rooms under the Cashmere Church. Most of our work seems to be done either on the Internet or, occasionally, in person, so we have retreated to our homes for these appointments.
Jan has become an expert on constructing wonderful Curriculum Vitae and we both are often asked for counselling, both together or separately. This can be by email, Facebook Chat, Skype, telephone, or in person.
Our first anniversary of our social group was a great success, and many thanks to our kind donor who provided the wherewithal for yummy food to improve the party atmosphere!
Only two more months until the AutismNZ Biennial Conference, quite a few Aspies from around New Zealand will be there and many excited discussions will take place during that short time.
Christchurch has taken on a very different "look" in the past few months, with nearly 80% of the CBD demolished. We look forward to a stunning new city with modern buildings letting in lots of light, plants and trees to soften the hard surfaces, and a rebuild which will take many years and provide hundreds of jobs.
