Earthquakes are subsiding. Christchurch is rising.. Still there are years and years of work ahead of us, but everyday life is as busy as it ever was.
Jan and Leith are now running two Aspiehelp evening sessions a week (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) and a Women's Support Group (every 2nd Friday morning). These are all being well attended.
If you are interested in attending, please contact us via info@aspiehelp.com.
The Aspie Community on Facebook continues to grow, with increasing numbers of members from other countries.
We are looking forward to the Altogether Autism Conference to be held in Hamilton in July, which will include a special meeting for Aspies. We expect to announce a National group to represent and advocate for NZ Aspies from this meeting.
Leith and other Kiwi Aspies are expecting to attend the Autism Conference in Adelaide in August of this year as well. (just waiting to see if my proposal for a presentation is accepted)..
Jan's health is much improved- she is is now in clinical remission and as perky as anything!
We have a lot of paper work and documentation to finish before we can apply for funding from the Lotteries Commission, something which does not sit well with these Aspie heads, however, needs must.
