The end of 2012 for Aspiehelp was marked by a BBQ at Leith's home. It was a very pleasant celebration of the camaraderie which has developed between the folk who attend our monthly social events.
A wider camaraderie is also accessible through Facebook Aspie pages. Those pages which originate in New Zealand have now been joined by several people from other countries, as they like our friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate tone, leavened with the wonderful wit Aspies produce so effortlessly!

Aspergers amongst Aspergers is an international page which also attracts a wide membership which includes some very interesting and insightful people.
Most of these pages require approval before you can be admitted to membership and there are basic requirements of members like keeping what you read confidential, no abuse etc.
Aspiehelp begins again on January 16th. This year we plan to have two meetings per month- one will be social and the other more of a "study" format. This is with the aim of helping folk become better informed about Asperger Syndrome so that they can talk to others with confidence about their condition and make their way through life with more assurance.
Our new fortnightly Women's Support Group will be held on Friday 20th January at 11 a.m.
